Our Breakfast Club is open every morning from 7.30 am - 8.50 am.
The children can enjoy cereal, toast and fruit and have opportunity to play games. If you are still sleepy we have a selection of books and board games and lots more activities going on.
The cost for your child to join us are as follows:
If you would like your child to attend Breakfast Club, a place should be booked in advance. This is to ensure adequate supervision levels for the children who attend.
Children under the age of 8 must be brought to the door by an adult.
Every Wednesday, from 3.15 pm - 4.30 pm, Miss Brown holds a Film Club for children in Years 5 and 6. The children watch a film over two weeks and then explore different ways of reviewing the films, such as writing in pairs and acting out like a TV reviewer.
We have watched a range of different films so far, including Mrs Doubtfire and Marley and Me. Miss Brown chooses a Review of the Week after each session and these people win a special prize!
As well as this, the Film Club organisers choose Reviews of the Week from all their online entries nationally. Two members of our club recently won this for their super reviews of the Roald Dahl classic, The Witches! Well done to Caitlin Hempshell and Oliver Harper!
Every Tuesday lunchtime, Mrs Tobin and Miss Batty run a French Club for children in Key Stage 2. The children take part in a number of fun activities to explore things such as the language (using dictionaries), geography and celebrations eg Christmas and Easter.
Join in the after-school fun with Provision Sports on one of their action packed sports course. The courses will build confidence, fitness levels and social interaction.
Provision Sports hold sporting activities delivered by a specialist coach. Activities are reviewed half termly in order for children to have opportunities to experience alternative sports.
Activities are chosen in response to pupil demand and the time of year. They are usually open to pupils from year 1 to year 6. Provision Sports currently offer Indoor Games on Tuesdays, Dance on Thursdays and Boxing (Years 5 & 6 only) on Fridays.
As we use external providers there is a charge for these clubs.
Every Friday from 3:15 to 4pm Mrs Gaynor and Miss Sharratt hold a choir practice for Years 1 – 6. This is a great opportunity for anyone who loves to sing and perform. Join them for a fun session learning pop songs; songs from the best musicals and of course our very own Ackton Pastures song!
